Stack Overflow

StackOverflow.com Reputation is a sidebar widget which shows your user information from StackOverflow.com. You must add the widget from your WordPress Widgets, input your username and user id from StackOverflow.com and it will display a link to your profile, your reputation, and the quantity of badges you have earned. The idea of getting the user info from StackOverflow.com’s user search via POST was thanks to http://pietschsoft.com/post/2008/10/Place-a-StackOverflow-badge-on-your-website.aspx.

Still does not work. It asks for my StackOverflow user (I assume this is my username) and my User ID (I assume this is the number value?)…

I enter them in, click “Done” and then “Save” and it never actually remembers these values. Every time I click on edit, those values are empty again.

I realized the same happens on my blog, but it still does work, and displays my user information. I’m using the latest version right here, you can see it on the sidebar.

I guess it still needs some more work, I’ll get to it and do some tests. I’ll try to fix the problem where it doesn’t remember the information.

I’ll have to check. It is possible that it is actually working for me, then. I never thought to actually check the Widget output on the front page after adding it when it did not look to be accepting my username/user ID.

It definitively doesn’t work with your username and user id. I found this is true for any usernames with spaces. I’m working on fixing it, hope to have it fixed today.
